A private school had multiple, often conflicting, systems to explain how students should progress through middle and high school based on rigor. There was also no clear way to communicate this information to our clients (parents of students).
solution:
Course sequence job aid
tools:
Canva
This project required more than just assembling a graphic. I first had to work with my SMEs to define and unify the process itself, then was able to organize it graphically for ease of reference.
I produced two versions- the a simpler version with no background image for daily reference and a more eye-catching one that was used for marketing and client communication use. Both paid careful attention to the organization style guide.
bloom's taxonomy chart
problem:
As part of my work coaching teachers to create effective learning goals, I found myself frequently referencing Bloom's taxonomy. Existing charts either only included verbs OR example assessments alone. I needed to be able to quickly work with and reference both sets of information.
solution:
combine both charts into a single job aid that's useful as well as eye-catching
tools:
Google Slides, actually
I compared multiple versions of the information to make a thorough reference for myself and my colleagues.
I love trees, so it was a natural metaphor to incorporate. A large version of this hangs proudly in my office.
